Membership

St. Paul educators join the Federation for many reasons.  As a member, you become one of 3400 Saint Paul member educators committed to serving St. Paul students and their families.

The SPFT works to engage our membership and our community through innovative programs and professional development opportunities. We can’t do this alone and we welcome member participation and expertise at any level. Being involved in our union is necessary and needed as we face a myriad of complex issues every day.  Members receive $1 million in professional liability insurance, legal representation and the direct opportunity to impact our profession.

Members are eligible to vote for officers and our executive board members who establish the direction and priorities of our union.

Many services and benefits are offered through our state and national affiliates including financial planning, insurance programs, loans, auto buying and leasing, discount programs, credit cards and other services. Members also receive publications from our state and national affiliates.

For membership questions or more information, contact Julie Hawkins our membership coordinator at 651.222.7303 or e-mail julie@spft.org.
