What is the Innocent Classroom?

The Innocent Classroom. The Innocent Classroom is an educator and teacher-driven response to disparities in education. The Innocent Classroom restores the relationship between educators and children. In Innocent Classrooms teachers uncover each student’s basic motivation and goodness — and channel that insight into learning and growth.

Innocent Classroom Getting Started Workshop. This half-day workshop introduces educators to the theory and practice of the Innocent Classroom. Through a series of narrative exercises and small group conversations, educators learn how to use the Innocent Classroom’s key concepts, Innocence, Good, Guilt, and Epistemology, in their classrooms. Teachers who attend this workshop will gain new knowledge and practices that they can use immediately.
